Your role in our team:
- Based at the CLAAS UK Headquarters at Saxham, we are looking for a Credit Control Trainee to sit within our Finance Team.
- Working primarily for the CLAAS owned retail businesses, the Credit Control Trainee‘s role will be supporting the Credit Controller with all elements of credit control for the CLAAS owned retail businesses ensuring outstanding debts are collected on time.
- In return we will offer a fixed term training contract which will terminate after 2 years. Alongside this we will commit to supporting with all training costs for Level 3 and or Level 5 in CICM and examinations at first attempt and offer some time for study during working hours to achieve the qualification. All other study must be undertaken outside of working hours.
- Main Duties
- Generating statements, letters and customer communications
- Circulating hit lists for internal review
- Focusing employees on awareness of invoices overdue
- Answering customer queries
- System changes and developments
- Legal matters
- Dealing with customers requests for copy invoices and credit notes
- Setting up new customer accounts
- Credit limits and putting accounts on hold or on stop
- Ledgers, allocating payments, resolving credit balances and so on
Your profile:
- Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Character - depth and resilience to deal with queries and problems
- Want to succeed in a challenging role where conversations with customers can be wide ranging in approach
- Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- The ability to communicate with staff at all levels within the retail dealerships
- Strong character, able to challenge when required
- Strong IT skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Must be able to work well within a team and individually
Further Information:
- Hours of Work
- According to the business requirements (Minimum 37.5 hours per week)
- 5 days a week in the office with one day working from home after probation – Monday to Friday
- This role does not attract an overtime rate.
- Fixed term contract for 2 years.
- Some travel may be required from time to time.
