Your role in our team:

  • You will line manage the technical instructors, providing clear objectives, regular performance review and support for professional development.
  • Lead team meetings and ensure effective communication across the training functions.
  • Monitor learner progress, outcomes and satisfaction, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding; health and safety; equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
  • Work with the Head of Academy and Co-ordinators to design and update Apprenticeship training programmes, including blended learning and digital resources.
  • Maintain a reduced delivery timetable to support practical and theory training for learners at different skill levels.
  • Ensure training content meets the needs of the occupation standards and the employer network.
  • Co-ordinate training schedules, resources and staff deployment to ensure efficiency and high-quality learner experience.
  • Support recruitment, induction and mentoromg of new trainers.
  • Keep up to date with industry and technical developments.  Participate in relevant CPD activities.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the successful operation of the CLAAS UK Academy.

Your profile:

  • Essential Skills and Experience
    • Experience of delivering high-quality training and assessing learning progress.
    • Strong understanding of agricultural engineering and machinery / engineering practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Industry recognised technical qualification at Level 3 or above
    • GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Level 2 or above
    • Willingness to undertake a Level 4 teaching qualification within 3 years (If not already held)
    • Strong IT skills (MS excel, Powerpoint, Word)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Willing to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance at Enhanced level.
    • Understanding of safeguarding and its application in training environments.
  • Desirable Skills and Experience
    • Experience in operational management.
    • Proven record of curriculum development and quality assurance in an education or training setting.
    • Formal teaching qualification.
    • Leadership or management qualification.
    • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and funding requirements.
    • Ability to use data to inform decision-making and track learner outcomes.Ability and willingness to work flexibly.
    • Current full driving licence and willingness to travel in UK and Europe.
