Your role on our team:

The LEXION Technical Specialist assists the Technical Service Team by supporting the LEXION combine with an emphasis on technical training responsibilities.  The position also requires input and assistance on the warranty for these components as well as technical support of CLAAS NA Dealers.

  • Leads CoA efforts on Technical Service Training on the entire LEXION combine product range.
  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair technical issues over the phone or at customer/dealer location(s) as required.
  • Serve as liaison between CLAAS Germany & CLAAS of America (CoA) service departments to monitor and improve CLAAS products. 
  • Create detailed technical reports for product performance and technical issues.
  • Create technical publications (field actions/communications) that are to be published in support of the North American market.
  • Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

  Note:  This position includes travel – 10%-20%; valid driver’s license and passport is required.

    • Extensive stays of 1-3 weeks may be required in support of personnel, training, or dealer regional harvest activities.  During these times, 1 to 2 weekends away from home at a time is possible.

Your profile:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business or Ag related field preferred, not required.
  • 2-5 years’ work related experience, preferred.
  • Agricultural equipment experience, CLAAS equipment experience a plus.
  • Excellent technical communication skills in both written and oral form.
  • Must be able to read engineering prints, especially electro/hydraulic schematics.
  • Advanced computer skills including experience with internet based applications, databases, and machine/engine diagnostic software(s).
  • Expert level understanding of North American harvesting technology.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Exceptional Project Management Skills.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
