Your role on our team:
The Senior Accountant performs accounting tasks related to the following: month-end closing, variance analysis, planning, budgeting/forecasting, financial modeling, and inter-company transactions for CLAAS North America. The position is responsible for the accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management review. This position requires operating within tight deadlines and bridges across a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger management, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
- Completes journal entries and account reconciliations; expense tracking/reporting/analysis; inter-company invoicing; month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing statements; coordination of internal/external audits on a timely basis.
- Assists in the development of budgets, interim forecasts, and five-year plans.
- Assists the Head of Business Administration COL & COA in the daily banking requirements and prepares accurate month-end bank reconciliations.
- Maintains tax liabilities and initiates timely payments to Federal & State agencies on monthly and quarterly basis. (i.e., Income tax, sales tax, property tax).
- Reconciles daily cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of cash balances, and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Your profile:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- 3 - 5 years related business experience in performing primary functions preferred.
- Strong knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Good organization and time management skills with a willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of confidentiality required.
- Previous SAP knowledge desirable.
