Your role on our team:

The Region Development Manager (RDM) is responsible for the management of key tasks for the assigned region and including trans-national initiations and implementation of central decisions within functional guidelines in the decentralized units. The position designs optimized approaches for the functional areas of standards, methods, and processes, within the central functions of the holding company and/or Business Unit Service & Sales (BUSS) and advises on a uniform solution for common goal setting. The role has active oversight of region-specific projects; including structuring project planning approach, while having oversight of a team of project participants, and monitoring the implementation of project results. The position supports region management of the region sales organization as well as the flow of information between decentralized sales units, functional areas, and BUSS. The RDM ensures the accurate reporting and annotation of distributed sales units, region statistics (including cost factor analysis) for key management. 

 

  • Supports Region Senior Vice President in the management of region sales organization (COA).  Responsible for regional and / or cross-regional top-down implementation tasks.
  • Supports information flow between decentral sales units, functional departments, and Business Unit Service & Sales (BUSS).
  • Assists in development and execution of the regional sales strategy and mid-term planning.
  • Coordinates commercial processes within the region.
  • Ensures accurate reporting of decentral sales units.  Reviews, analyzes, and prepares data with recommendations for senior management review.
  • Prepares and analyzes statistical analysis of cost drivers / factors within region.
  • Prepares executive presentations for meetings and conferences; supports regional president in such meetings.
  • Supports, in cooperation with Region Management and respective head of Human Resources, the execution of a proper HR policies within region.
  • Involved in project contracting and planning (if necessary management) and oversees execution of project goals.
  • Supports Region Senior Vice President at meetings, conferences, and board functions with the presentation and discussion of Region KPI’s and topics.
  • Development of Decision Papers Develops and provides decision-making guidance and resources for management, and assists regional managers in meetings.  Prepares basis for management decisions.
  • Represents regional sales support team (speaker function). 

 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Ag Economics or related field desired, not required.
  • 2-5 years’ of experience working within strategically-driven sales environment within relevant sectors.
  • Strong proven ability to conduct in depth industry and market research.  High ability to effectively analyze and “scrub” data to present accurate reporting and KPI’s.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality and tact.  Fluent German, English, and Spanish speaking skills a plus.
  • Experience working within an internationally matrixed environment ideally within the heavy plant or machine construction industry, highly desired.
  • Strategically-minded, analytical change agent with a clear vision and the ability to recommend and implement improvement measures to improve business performance within region.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a strong track record of successfully managing project resources and team members across various departments and countries.
  • Above average group presentation skills.  Ability adjust, speak, and present to company personnel up and down company hierarchy.  Ability to project positive self and company image.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and national regulations for business practices, employment and safety.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally; the ability to exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and maintaining constructive working relationships.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment and with strong attention to detail.
