Your role on our team:
The HR Generalist position supports the multiple functions of the Human Resources (HR) department of CLAAS North America, including CLAAS FARMPOINT. Additionally, the role will support recruiting efforts for assigned business entities to ensure the growth of an effective employment brand in North America.
- Responsible for sourcing, recruitment, onboarding, and ensuring training is scheduled for all new employees of assigned business entities.
- Assists in maintaining online job boards, university relations, screening of candidates, conducting phone interviews, reference checks, and organizing in house interviews.
- Participates in the development of an effective CLAAS onboarding process to assimilate new hires into both the company’s and individual department’s culture. Continually helps analyze, evaluate and modify the process to ensure continued success.
- Assists in the areas of compensation, benefits, payroll, policies, expatriate documentation and employee training.
- Prepares corporate HR reporting and ad hoc reporting as required.
- Supports creating and updating employee job descriptions, as required.
- Assists with maintaining employee files and other HR records as well as compile reports concerning personnel-related data.
- Assists with composing and editing company policies and procedures and related documents as needed.
- Learns and supports all aspects of employee relations, as requested.
- This position requires a high degree of collaboration, the ability to quickly grasp a variety of different subjects and processes and may require travel within our footprint to support the branch teams.
- Candidates must possess high emotional intelligence, aptitude to work within a decentralized corporate structure, and the skill to collaborate with various teams that occasionally have competing goals.
- Supports other recruiting activities, strategies, and their implementation.
- Assists in preparing and conducting employee events.
- Attends workshops, seminars, and participates in online training to gain greater HR knowledge.
- Other tasks as assigned or required by HR Managers and Corporate Recruiter and Senior Management
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
- 1-3 years’ progressive human resources experience. Previous recruiting experience, a plus.
- Ability to apply knowledge of effective personnel, human resources policies and procedures, and employment laws.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Strong effective oral communication skills - speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; communicates with vendors and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Written Communications - edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and is able to read and interpret written information.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality output.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Demonstrates high ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations with good judgment and tact.
- Must be able to recognize confidential nature of information and how to properly protect it.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
