Your role on our team:

The Design Engineer designs combine sub-systems and components of agricultural machinery.  

 

  • Design of large farm machinery in CAD environment with primary focus on combine harvesters, corn heads, soybean heads, and small grain heads.
  • Creates and maintains product Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Prepares new Engineering releases and Engineering Change Requests.
  • Coordinates design activities with outside suppliers.
  • Participate sin regular design reviews.
  • Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations and standards. 
  • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

 
Note:  This position includes up to 20% per year domestic and international travel by auto and air; valid driver’s license & passport is required.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering; Ag Biosystems Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ previous work related experience equivalent, preferred.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, engineering drawing and understand technical documentation and specification.
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2008, preferred.
  • Experience with agriculture, agricultural equipment and harvesting practices; experience with design of large agricultural machinery, preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skill set.
  • German language skills, a plus, not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
