Your role in our team:
As Head of Supplier Performance Management, you will take on a key leadership role within our internationally active Global Purchasing team. You will shape our global supplier management and lead forward-looking initiatives such as innovation, Supplier Scorecard and Category strategy within the CLAAS Group.
- Strategy & Leadership: Lead the Supplier Performance Management function within Global Purchasing and take responsibility for developing a global supplier evaluation framework – including a Global Supplier Scorecard, performance analysis, classification, and the integration of risk management insights.
- Governance & Implementation: Coordinate the development of Category strategies and ensure their consistent implementation across all relevant units.
- Future-Focused Programs: Manage key initiatives such as Supply Base Reconfiguration and the Focus Supplier Program– aiming to make our supplier base more resilient, targeted, and high-performing.
- Driving Innovation: Through the “Supplier Innovation Management” initiative, you will drive technological advancements together with our suppliers.
- Shaping Relationships: You will be responsible for volume forecasting, supplier relationship management with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders – including Supply Chain Management, Quality, and Engineering – and will actively shape the supplier onboarding process.
Your profile:
- Finished studies in Business Administration, (Business) Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing or a related field within a manufacturing environment; leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing category strategies. Strong knowledge of purchasing best practices, supplier management and development (know-how on installing supplier scorecards preferred).
- Enthusiasm for networking and teamwork. Ability to communicate well through various channels.
- Hands-on mentality, fast problem-solving abilities. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Strategic mindset, comfortable navigating complexity and multi-site operations.
- Ability to work cross-culturally and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English and German, further languages desirable.
