Your role in our team:

  • Responsible in the commodity steel / weldments for different sub clusters.The full life cycle of the product (development, serial, after sales)
  • Managing all purchasing activities in alignment with the Global Steel / Weldments strategy as well as in connection with other internal stakeholders. 
  • Develop existing suppliers (QCT) in alignment with quality, logistics and product cost optimization
  • Professional preparation and independent implementation of purchasing negotiations up to the conclusion of the contracts, including framework supply contracts. 
  • Take part in development projects as well as in cost optimization workshops. 
  • Observation and analysis of the market. 

Your profile:

  • Completed studies, preferably in the field of industrial engineering / business administration
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing.
  • Good knowledge about the raw material market (steel)as well as in the area of fabrication. 
  • Comprehensive experience in negotiations
  • Very good entrepreneurial and analytical thinking skills as well as independent, flexible and efficient way of working. 
  • Act confident at internal and external management levels. 
  • Experience in working together in an interdisciplinary and intercultural environment
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills as well as business fluent Englisch and German skills. 
  • Confident use of MS Office and SAP
  • Willingness to travel.
