Your role in our team:

  • Responsibility within the commodity Machinings for several sub clusters:
    • the full life cycle of the products (project, serial, after sales)
    • the different CLAAS plants (mainly Germany)
  • Managing all purchasing activities in alignment with Global Machinings strategy as well as in connection with internal stakeholders within CLAAS
  • Daily cross functional collaboration
  • Professional preparation and independent implementation of purchasing negotiations up to the conclusion of the contracts, including framework supply contracts.
  • Supporting the achievement of C-Q-D (Cost Quality Delivery) goals in development projects through the early integration of high performance suppliers
  • Follow up and steering of suppliers performance
  • Observation and analysis of the market

Your profile:

  • Completed studies, preferably in the field of business administration/industrial engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing as well as in depth knowledge of contract law
  • Skills and experience in project management, as well as a high technical affinity for the field of Machinings (milling and turning technology), would be highly appreciated
  • Comprehensive experience in negotiations
  • Very good entrepreneurial and analytical thinking skills as well as an independent, flexible and efficient way of working
  • Act confidently at internal and external management levels
  • Experience in working together in an interdisciplinary and intercultural environment
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills as well as business fluent English skills
  • Confident use of MS Office and SAP
  • Willingness to travel
