From the CLAAS machine in the field to the smallest spare part needed for daily operations: To ensure that careful sowing leads to a successful harvest and that the process runs smoothly, many gears—both large and small—must mesh together. Fast and efficient support and maximum spare parts availability for our customers are our core competencies. Together with our sales partners, we develop the after-sales business, thereby contributing to customer satisfaction as well as to the success and growth of CLAAS.
Your role:
- Responsibility within the commodity filter during the full life cycle of products (project, serial, after sales)
- Managing all purchasing activities in alignment with the commodity strategy
- Cross functional collaboration with R&D, QM, SCM in a worldwide network at different locations
- Professional preparation and independent implementation of purchasing negotiations up to the conclusion of contracts
- Supporting the achievement of Cost-Quality-Delivery goals in development projects through early integration of high-performance suppliers
- Follow up and steering of supplier performance
- Observation and analysis of supply markets
Your profile:
- Completed studies, preferably in the field of industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing as well as knowledge of contract law
- Skills and experience in project management would be highly appreciated
- Comprehensive experience in negotiations
- Very good entrepreneurial and analytical thinking skills as well as an independent, flexible and efficient way of working
- Act confidently with internal and external management levels
- Experience in working in interdisciplinary and intercultural environments
- Very good communication and teamwork skills as well as business fluent German and English skills, French is optional
- Confident use of MS Office and SAP
- Willingness to travel worldwide
