LOCATION: IDEAL LOCATION FOR THIS ROLE IS CENTRAL COLORADO, PERFERRABLY DENVER AREA

COMPENSATION: Base Compensation range 100k-200k, based on experience, plus Target Incentive Plan

 

The Region Sales Manager (RSM), as part of the region leadership team, achieves targeted performance goals (retail sales and market share) to ensure company growth and profitability. Position achieves effective long-term and committed business relationships with dealer partners to consistently grow the quantity and quality of the business. Additionally, the position achieves targeted sales and inventory goals within their assigned territory.

  • Leads a team of Territory Managers (TM). 
  • Responsible for the execution of the entire sales process within their own assigned territory from prospecting to deal closure in coordination with assigned dealer partners and COA; promotes the utilization and proper documentation of all steps along the sales process in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (salesforce) in order to monitor and achieve target sales goals.
  • Responsible for managing the region sales budget and resource allocation of TM’s in coordination with the region team.
  • Partners with Region Team to determine engagement with dealer partners to achieve Region goals through new customer acquisition and retaining existing customers.
  • Consistently achieves sales, market share, and other financial goals via the execution of the entire sales process within their region from prospecting to deal closure in coordination with dealer partners and COA; promotes the utilization and proper documentation of all steps along the sales process in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (salesforce) in order to monitor and achieve target sales goals.
  • Utilizes available data sources for generating customer intelligence and communicates information with dealer and internal sales organization.
  • Develops, monitors, and executes a region sales management plan including timely and accurate submission retail forecasts by dealer/territory, in alignment with overall CLAAS strategies.
  • Collaboratively works with COA Region Team to set sales goals for dealer partners per product category to fulfill COA Region Retail Plan.
  • Oversight of the dealer partner relationship and leads the strategic and tactical business planning and execution per dealer partner.
  • Responsible for communicating and validating proper deployment of sales programs and sales aids to dealer partner and sales teams, continuously validates program utilization.
  • Supports dealer partner through the assessment of customer financing needs and will act as a liaison between dealer partner and CLAAS Financial Services (CFS).
  • Continuously strengthens product and marketplace knowledge to improve sales results.
  • Attends, leads, and assists with farm shows, expert camps, and other CLAAS promotional activities.
  • Proactively communicates relevant and timely marketing, dealer, industry, and product quality issues topics to dealers to strengthen sales performance and the dealers’ relationships with CLAAS.
  • Effectively works with other CLAAS employees / departments to ensure quality after-sales support meets dealers’ needs.
  • Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations and standards. 
  • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.   

Note:  This position includes up to 20-75% domestic and international travel by auto and air; valid driver’s license & passport is required.  Additionally, some Saturday and Sunday travel, meetings and/or work may be periodically required.
 

 

Your profile:

  • Bachelors’ Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Agriculture or related field required
  • 5+ years’ sales experience at capital goods dealership level or experience in sales, marketing or distribution development capacity with capital goods manufacturer.
  • Minimum of five years leading exempt level employees, including training and staff development; Ability to give employee feedback in verbal and written form succinctly and timely.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with experience in B:C and B:B situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strategically-minded, well organized and disciplined with ability to multi-task, and is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
